Culver Square

I began to research and investigate in culver square, colchester.  Culver Square is at the heart of colchester and is a very well known location. Culver square features a huge circular water fountain which is a really big attraction. In the summer people love to sit on the edge of the foundation and listen to the water splashing. However recently the council has filled the fountain with soil and turned it into a garden bed. in my own opinion , this is a major let down to the area as it used to create movement  and energy in the atmosphere aswell now, it is very boring and dull.

 

 

 These are a few quick sketch of Culver square and its fountain. I have drawn these images in a very sketchy form without distorting the objects or space. When Designing as an architect, it is important to be able to see the correct dimensions otherwise i could be designing something which might not be the right size color, or shape.
