after using bold and bright colours in my previous work, ive decided to try and create a very old rustic, industrial theme using a series of black and white photos of Colchester ,spitfires and tetris cubes.
I have printed out a few images of colchester back in the 1990's using black and white paper. I have then torn off the front layers of some card to get the rippled, corrugated metal effect. i have then stuck the image onto of the card and used black and brown ink in between the ripples to create a rusty appearance. My favorite image out of these 4 are the two spitfires. the reason why i like this image so much is because where i have ripped card. it looks like a cloud where the spitfires are emerging from.
