Benjamin Edwards ,born 1970 is an American visual artist and writer. He was born in Iowa City, Iowa, graduated from UCLA, and earned a Masters from the Rhode Island School of Design. His work deals mainly with "found imagery" collected from media magazines, the internet, newspapers, video games, photographs, blueprints, logos and graphics and then manipulated using 2d and 3d graphic software. This imagery is then massed into a "virtual space" on canvas, creating immense depth and vibrant colors.

The colours he use's are very bold and fluorescent which makes the architectural buildings and shapes stand out from one another. I also enjoy the use of space he has created within his work. He has been able to create vast amount of detail yet still allowing the image to breathe and not to become "squashed" or "compacted". Benjamin's works remind me of my earlier work with the 3d and sculpture Tetris cubes and the popcorn drawings i produced , they both have similar properties such as using bright bold colours which stands out. My popcorn drawings also use the same bold and straight lines which makes the image seem very
